Job description

YEP is looking for a (Junior) Analytics Officer to undertake a variety of day-to-day administrative, support research and development tasks:  

  • Bookkeeping support for the project (in particular procurement procedures);
  • Implementation and administration support of all project activities;
  • Partake in the organization of training/workshop/conference events and meetings;
  • Development of research and policy papers in line with project activities;
  • Representation and advocacy on external committees, working parties and forums;
  • Undertake pro-active social policy analysis and development;
  • Develop and disseminate information and resources, examples include drafting news articles, newsletters and assisting with project websites;
  • Contribute to regular reporting requirements and evaluation activities;
  • Translation support (oral and written – B&H to English and vice versa) during all project related activities;
  • Cover daily tasks in the absence of Project Officers;
  • Other duties as may be (reasonably) assigned by the Team Leader or Component Leader.

Required qualifications

  • University degree in social science;
  • Masters degree is an advantage;
  • Two years relevant experience in financial management and program administration;
  • Experience in drafting policy papers on the labour market and active labour market measures is considered a strong advantage;
  • Good interpersonal skills, team player, highly adaptable and able to work under stress;
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
  • Strong transferable skills, computer literacy (MS Office), reporting skills, problem solving, analytical skills and result orientation;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives;
  • Willing to work in a multidisciplinary team, without hierarchical division of tasks;
  • A driving license is required due to frequent travel.

Note: Duration of the contract is 12 months, with three month trial period and possibility for renewal until April 2020.
