Youth Employment Project supported by the Swiss Government through the Swiss Embassy in B&H and implemented by GOPA Representative Office in B&H is looking for the following positions in our Office in Sarajevo: 

Job Title

Capacity Building Specialist (f/m)

 Job description

  • Support in Reform Package Dissemination through development of capacity building programmes for Public Employment Services in B&H;
  • Organization and monitoring of annual training/capacity building programme implementation;
  • Delivery of group, individual training and couching in Public Employment Services in B&H;
  • Facilitation of exchange of reform-related experiences and good practice between Public Employment Services;
  • Management of online resource centre, and project website;
  • Development and maintenance of national and international experts database;
  • Other duties as may be (reasonably) assigned by the Team Leader or Component Leader.

Required qualifications

  1. University degree – social sciences (preferably Pedagogical sciences or Psychology)
  2. At least five years of experience in delivering training for public institutions or private sector;
  3. Good knowledge of labour market system in B&H;
  4. Certificate in Adult Training and Development is an asset;
  5. Fluent in English (both written and spoken), good knowledge of German is an asset;
  6. Transversal skills, computer literacy (MS Office), reporting skills and business communication, problem solving, analytical skills and result orientation;
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, in dynamic environment;
  8. Ability to work independently and take initiatives;
  9. Willing to work in a multidisciplinary team, without hierarchical division of tasks;
  10. A driving license is required due to frequent travel.

Economic Development Specialist (f/m)

Job description

  • Support in development/launch of Local Employment Pacts: networking local stakeholders and developing inter-sectoral partnerships;
  • Identification of (preferably social) entrepreneurship opportunities;
  • Support in development of businesses/enterprises: evaluation of business ideas, development of business plans, support in business development and expansion of market;
  • Coaching, training and mentoring of entrepreneurs (specialized and market-related training and guidance)
  • Support in development and use of financial instruments (active labour market measures, revolving or credits) to support entrepreneurship;
  • Support entrepreneurs by linking them with potential partners who will enable them to commercialize their ideas and expand their business (access to finance, access to markets);
  • Other duties as may be (reasonably) assigned by the Team Leader or Component Leader.

Required qualifications

  1. University degree in Economics;
  2. At least five years of experience in preparation, establishment and development of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as experience in developing business plans and assessment of (business) risks;
  3. Experience in delivery of specialized training and mentoring according to the needs of the target groups of entrepreneurs;
  4. Experience with social entrepreneurship and establishment of local partnerships is an asset;
  5. Fluent in English (both written and spoken), good knowledge of German is an asset
  6. Transversal skills, computer literacy (MS Office), reporting skills and business communication, problem solving, analytical skills and result orientation;
  7. Ability to work independently and take initiatives;
  8. Willing to work in a multidisciplinary team, without hierarchical division of tasks;
