RFE/RL is pleased to accept applications for the 2014 – 2015 Jiri Dienstbier Journalism Fellowship, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and RFE/RL that is inspired by Dienstbier’s outstanding work in the fields of journalism, foreign policy, and human rights, and RFE/RL’s legacy of promoting more just and open societies through journalism.
The selected Fellow shall be placed with the Balkan language service at RFE/RL’s headquarters in Prague to receive on-the-job training and mentoring while working alongside RFE/RL’s seasoned professionals. The program will help position the Fellow as a standard-bearer of the profession and a leader in his or her community, on-line, on air, and in the world.
Journalists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia may apply. The Fellowship term is October 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015.
