Youth Employment Project (YEP) supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and implemented by GOPA Representative Office in B&H is looking for Business Planning Specialist and Capacity Building Specialist in our office in Sarajevo.   

Job title: Business Planning Specialist (Economic Development Specialist)

Job description:

  • Adept in creating, developing and reviewing full business plans, business models in multiple sectors with an uncanny ability to accurately diagnose business needs and gaps while developing suitable intervention plans;
  • Use data modeling practices to analyze findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes of business plans;
  • Assist businesses with basic skills to enhance overall entrepreneurship and business management capacity;
  • Consolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making;
  • Follow up of designed intervention plans;
  • Identify funding sources for business ideas;
  • Provide expertise and assistance in the application process for additional funding;
  • Communicate key insights and findings to project management and external stakeholders.

Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Business Management and Entrepreneurship or related Social Science discipline;
  • 5 years previous work experience as a business developer/business plan specialist;
  • Ability to create business plans with actionable objectives is a must;
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools;
  • Experience working with a start-ups or new business development;
  • Experience in the field of social entrepreneurship is an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audience;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, in dynamic environment;
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
  • Professional Certification is an added advantage;
  • A driving license is required due to frequent travel.

Job Title: Capacity Building Specialist

Job description:

  • Support in Public Employment Services reform Reform Package Dissemination through development of capacity building programmes for Public Employment Services in B&H;
  • Organization and monitoring of annual training/capacity building programme implementation;
  • Delivery of trainings and couching in Public Employment Services in B&H;
  • Facilitation of exchange of reform-related experiences and good practice between Public Employment Services;
  • Management of online resource centre, and project website;
  • Development and maintenance of national and international experts database;
  • Other duties as may be (reasonably) assigned by the Team Leader or Component Leader.

Required qualifications:

  • University degree – social sciences (preferably Pedagogical sciences or Psychology)
  • 5 years of experience in delivering training for public institutions or private sector;
  • Transversal skills, computer literacy (MS Office), reporting skills and business communication, problem solving, analytical skills and result orientation;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, in dynamic environment;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives;
  • Willing to work in a multidisciplinary team, without strong hierarchical division of tasks;
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
  • Certificate in Adult Training and Development is an asset;
  • A driving license is required due to frequent travel.
