Youth Employment Project (YEP), supported by the Government of Switzerland invites experts interested in developing innovations in Medical and Biological Engineering, to present their innovations at an International Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering (CMBEBiH 2017) which will be held on March 16th – 18th in Sarajevo.
For the Conference, YEP will provide support in carrying out a multidisciplinary session named Building a thriving Medical and Biological Engineering Industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This session is aimed at experts interested in transforming their innovations into successful start-ups. The session moderators will be Dr. Eddie Čustović and Dr. Ranko Markuš, who will present CMBEBiH 2017 – Innovation Challenge (A component of the IEEE/YEP Innovation Challenge 2017), a concept which was earlier developed with the Youth Employment Project (YEP) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Developed in 2016, this concept gathered 13 teams from technical universities in B&H who built and presented their innovations; this concept will be further developed and expanded in 2017, including medical and biological engineering.
Interested innovators in the field of medical and biological engineering through their involvement in CMBEBiH 2017 – Innovation Challenge (A component of the IEEE/YEP Innovation Challenge 2017) will receive extensive support in development of their business ideas. Innovations that have commercial potential could receive additional support to develop business plans, seed and investment capital and mentorship in various aspects of the business model.
Building a thriving Medical and Biological Engineering Industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina session will be held during the second day of the Congress, on Friday, March 17, 2017.
